Application of hematopoietic stem cells in the treatment has been widely used around the world as well as in Vietnam. Objective: Evaluating results of collected, processed and stored in hematopoietic stem cells at National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT). Subjects and Methods: All cases of collection and transplantation of peripheral blood stem cells, and the registration of store cord blood at NIHBT. Results: The supernatant was separated and stem cell transplantation for 72 patients, including 48 cases of autologous transplantation; 24 allo-transplants. The number of marrow transplants increased from 2011 to now, has made processing and storage of stem cells frozen from 2012. Initially, the Institute has implemented the processes to collect, process and store cord blood. Conclusion: NIHBT perform routine activities and the collection, handling, storage and application of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
