In the context that internationalization of higher education has been accelerated in many countries with a variety of roles, objectives and operating strategies, Internationalization of Curriculum (IoC) is one of the key solutions. In Vietnam, IoC has been implemented at different levels with diverse approaches, methods and results. On the basis of analyzing some results of a bibliometric study on internationalization of training programs on a dataset extracted from the Scopus system and understanding the relevant context in Vietnam, the article presents some major trends in the internationalization of higher education, internationalization of training programs in Vietnam, and at the same time, discusses the reasons why the internationalization of training programs is still limited. Accordingly, the author then proposes some suitable solutions from the policy level to the higher education institution level.
