Cây Sâm đá còn gọi là cây khỏe, tên khoa học là Curcuma singularis, thuộc chi Nghệ (Curcuma), họ Gừng (Zingiberaceae). Theo y học cổ truyền, thân rễ cây Sâm đá thường được sử dụng để bồi bổ sức khỏe, tăng sinh lực. Tuy nhiên, cao chiết Sâm đá thường có vị đắng nhẹ và khó tiêu hoá khi sử dụng làm thuốc. Vì vậy, mục tiêu của nghiên cứu này là xây dựng quy trình bào chế viên nén bao phim có chứa cao chiết thân rễ cây Sâm đá. Cao chiết Sâm đá được kiểm tra và đạt các chỉ tiêu chất lượng cơ sở (theo Dược điển Việt Nam V – DĐVN V) trước khi sử dụng để bào chế viên nén. Tinh bột bắp được sử dụng để điều chế cao khô Sâm đá. Viên nén chứa cao khô Sâm đá được bào chế bằng kĩ thuật nén trực tiếp và phối trộn cao khô với các tá dược khác nhau. Sau đó, viên nén được phủ lớp màng bao để tạo viên nén bao phim. Kết quả cho thấy nghiên cứu đã xây dựng được công thức và quy trình bào chế viên nén bao phim chứa cao Sâm đá. Sản phẩm viên nén tạo ra đáp ứng các tiêu chuẩn về chất lượng theo bộ tiêu chuẩn lượng cơ sở xây dựng.

Curcuma singularis (CS) Gagnep is commonly known in Vietnam as “Sam da” or “cay khoe,” which belongs to the Curcuma genus, Zingiberaceae family. CS rhizomes were extensively used as a folk medicine for boosting health. However, CS rhizome extract has a bitter taste and is unpleasant for consumption as a medicinal agent. Therefore, this study aimed to formulate and prepare film-coated tablets containing CS rhizome dried extract. In this study, CS rhizome extract meets medicinal quality requirements of in-house standards based on the latest version of Vietnam Pharmacopoeia V. Corn starch was used to produce a dried extract. The core tablets of CS rhizome were prepared by direct compression technique with the combination of various excipients in the formula and then coated with HPMC-E6 and PEG-6000 to obtain film-coated tablets. Our results showed that the formulation and preparation process for film-coated tablets containing CS rhizome extract was successfully established. The product met the quality standards in accordance with the proposed specifications.
