Vietnam is a country with potential tidal energy resources, but this potential energy is not interested in mining. The article refers to the technologies in exploiting tidal power potential at Northeastern coast of Vietnam and recommend appropriate technologies for exploiting tidal power source of the East coast of North Vietnam. The article also presents the results of calculations applied to the abilities to exploit tidal power in the Hong Van bay, Co To island district, Quang Ninh province. Research results may contrihute to the theoretical basis for researching calculating the projects proposed tidal power development in Vietnam.
