The main objectives are to investigate the sources of Vietnam's economic growth over the period 1986-2013 and suggest some suitable and effective solutions for Vietnam. Key findings are as follows: (I) Although Vietnam's TFP grm;vth had its lowest contribution to the economic growth in 1986-2013, it (rather than the K growth) had the statistically significant and highest positive correlation with the economic growth at the same time: (II) The L (labour accumulation) has its higher contribution (than that of TFP) to Vietnam's growth since 1986: (III) The K (capital stock) accumulation has its highest contribution to Vietnam's growth since 1986 with its low allocation and technique efficiency: (IV) Vietnam's growth model has been the width growth model (based mainly on the K and L accumulation) with its low growth quality (IFP) since 1986.
