Objective: To study the effect of after surgical complications drainage from the ventriculoperitoneal to the abdominal cavity to the mental-movement development of the hydrocephalus. Subjects included 156 children diagnosed with Hydrocephalus identify patients treated by the method of surgical drainage of cerebrospinal fluid from the ventricular to abdomen in the National pediatric Hospital from 2006 to 2014. Research: Methodology track along during the period from 2006 to 2014. Results: during the mean period of follow-up 34,0 + or - 2,4 months in 156 children. complications occured after surgery to a total of 68 children accounting for 43,6 percent of. Complications after surgery. Includes: drain valve blockage 35 children accounted for 22,4 percent; Infections valve accounted for 9,0 percent in children; drain valve blockage and valve infections accounted for 9,6 percent and 4 children with Epilepsy accounted for 2,6 percent. the authors found in children with the percentage. of mental-movement retardation infectious complications van is 28,6 percent; blockage valve was 34,3 percent; coordination is 40 percent and 75 percent in the children seizures. whereas no complications group only 8 percent. Conclusion: The effect of postoperative complications to delay the mental-movement development of the child Hydrocephalus is obviously shown.
