The main objective of this paper is to investigate intercity travel mode choice behavior of passenger by using Multinomial Logit Model. This study was implemented in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam for the route Ho Chi Minh city - Hanoi. Findings indicated some factors that had significant impact on passenger's choice behavior for three transportation modes (airplane, train, coach). Furthermore, the study also determined and evaluated the utility passenger obtained when they traveled by different kinds of mode. The study's results supported other researches and the authorities on having further research and managing travel demand or making plans, adjusting economic and transportation policies.
