The biological characteristics of Coranus fuscipennis Reuter were studied at the Department of Experimental Entomology in Hanoi, under laboratory condition of medium temperature of 26.1 - 30.8°C and medium humidity of 75.6 - 80.5 percent and as prey the species Corcyra cephalonica. Spodoptera litura and Plutella xylostella (Lepidoptera). The life cycle of Coranus fuscipennis is 42.2 +/- 3.8 days, consisting of egg period is 6.06 +/- 0.68 days and a nymphal period of 32 +/- 2.49 days. The female of Coranus fuscipennis can lay from 108 to 292 eggs (average is 185.5 eggs) and the hatch rates werefrom 67.04 to 99.33 percent.
