Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) is being used widely to reduce and control the oxides of nitrogen (NO) emission from diesel engines. This paper presents results of the study about the effects of EGR to the emissions of the engine diesel that based on engine simulation by using GT-POWER software. The results of the simulation showed NOx emissions decreased significantly when be used EGR. It is the basis for a diesel improvements design to reduce emissions in order to achieve the exhaust standards.
