Objective To describe work satisfaction of lecturers at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Subjects and methods A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with 326 lecturers by a self-administered questionnaire with 65 questions. Results 214 lecturers (65.4%) completed the questionnaire. After EFA and reliability analysis, 40 suitable questions were grouped into six factors. The satisfaction rates for relationships with colleagues, with leaders, with students, salaries/welfares, working conditions, opportunities for further training/career development and overall satisfaction were 68.2%; 47.7%; 48.6%; 21.5%; 16.8%; 55.6% and 47.7%, respectively. Work satisfaction-related factors include qualification, income and clinical lecturers. Conclusion The work satisfaction rate of lecturers is not high.
