The composition and distribution of brush - footed butterflies (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) were studied in different habitats and at different altitudes in Chu Yang Sin National Park, Dak Lak province from 2007 to 2009. The total 124 species, 59 genera and 11 subfamilies were recorded. among them 24 species are recorded for the first time from Chu Yang Sin National Park. 77 species and 47 genera were collected in tropical evergreen rain forest (TEF); 49 species and 28 genera in stream forest (SF); 31 species and 17 genera in thinned forest (TF); 30 species and 22 genera in Bamboo human influenced forest (BHF) and 18 species and 12 genera in artificial forest (AT). The maximum number of brush - footed butterflies species was found between 500 - 1000 m: 106 species and 58 genera. Between 100 - 500 m 20 species and 13 genera were collected. Above 1000 m 14 species and 7 genera were found.
