High school students under the age adolescents. Adolescence stage is the transition from childhood to adult age that is important changes in the physical, psychological and social relationships. Demand for gender education for this age group are needed to help prevent the consequences affect the physical and psychological children. The cross-sectional study was conducted to describe the knowledge about the gender of high school students in the province of Kien Giang, 2011. The results indicated that the proportion ignorance about signs of puberty in the study group of rural areas are higher than students in urban areas (p 0.001). Still 12 percent of students do not know any contraceptive method. This rate among rural students was higher among the group of students in urban areas. 88 percent of the students lack of understanding of the diseases are spread through sexual contact. Mass media is the main source of information about gender topics for high school students.
