Mô tả thực trạng giá trị môi trường của người dân vùng Tây Nam Bộ. Nghiên cứu thu thập dữ liệu từ 864 đại diện hộ gia đình tại 8 tỉnh Tây Nam Bộ bằng bảng hỏi về 8 cặp giá trị đối lập thuộc 3 nhóm giá trị phát triển kinh tế hay bảo vệ môi trường, lối sống hài hòa tự nhiên hay lối sống vị con người, trách nhiệm bảo vệ môi trường là của Nhà nước hay cá nhân tham gia cùng Nhà nước. Các phỏng vấn sâu về hành vi môi trường cũng được thực hiện. Kết quả cho thấy, phần lớn người dân Tây Nam Bộ nhìn nhận tầm quan trọng hơn của các giá trị môi trường so với các giá trị khác trong cuộc sống. Tuy nhiên, kết quả phỏng vấn sâu cho thấy, vẫn có khoảng cách nhất định giữa giá trị và hành vi môi trường. Kết quả này có ý nghĩa trong việc tìm hiểu bản sắc con người Tây Nam Bộ và trong việc thúc đẩy những hoạt động nhằm hình thành thái độ và hành vi môi trường tích cực ở người dân Tây Nam Bộ nói chung.

The article describes the current state of environmental value of people in the Southwestern region. The study collected data f-rom 864 household representatives in 8 Southwestern provinces by questionnaires about 8 opposing value pairs belonging to 3 value groups economic development or environmental protection, pro-environmental lifestyle or pro-human way of life, the responsibility to protect the environment belongs to the Government or the individual participating with the Government. In - depth interviews on environmental behavior were also conducted. The results show that the majority of people in the Southwest region recognize the importance of environmental values compared to other values in life. However, the in-depth interview results showed that there is still a certain gap between environmental values and behavior. This result is significant in understanding human identity in the Southwest region and in promoting activities aimed at forming positive environmental attitudes and behaviors in the people of the Southwest in general.
