A study on social wasps of the family Vespidae (Hymenoptera) conducted in Kon Ka Kinh National Park (NP) was presented. The total of 21 social wasp species were recorded from Kon Ka Kinh NP, of those two species in two genera of subfamily Stenogastrinae, 14 species in four genera of subfarnily Polistinae and five species in two genera of subfamily Vespinae. The occurrence of Polybioides gralicis van der Vecht in Vietnam was reconfirmed, i.e. the first record of this species in Vietnam was mentioned about a half of a decade ago. Eight species, viz. PansIes sagittarius, Polistes tenebricosus, Ropalidia mathematica, Ropalidia modesta, Ropalidia rufocollaris, Parapolybia indica, Polybioides gralicis, and Provespa barthelemyi were recorded in Tay Nguyen area for the first time. Several specimens of the genus Ropalida (sp.1), Ropalidia stigma group, and the Polisles (sp.15), subgenus Polistella, were recorded from Kon Ka Kinh NP but not identified, those will be elucidated in near publication.
