Background: Pre-transfusion testing plays an important role in the blood transfusion process that is significant to ensure transfused blood in harmony immunity. How is actual quality of pre-transfusion testing in the units of blood transfusion of the hospitals in Hanoi and how is above-mentioned problem improved after being audited and reminded? Objectives: Assess the actual quality and the quality improvement of the pre-transfusion testing of the hospital in Hanoi year 2011. Subjects and Methods: Cross-sectional. The research data was collected by directly assessing the quality of 20 blood transfusion units of the deliberately selected hospitals in Hanoi. Results: 11/20 units used in-house red cell reagent; 19/20 units did not test quality control
