Mutation of p53 gene is associated with hapatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in patient exposed to Aflatoxin. The study was to identify the proportion of the mutation of p53 gene and its relationship in patient infected with hepatitis B virus (HBV). The results show that 184/228 mal (80.7 percent), 44/228 femal (19.3 percent). HCC and LC patients were significant older than ASM and CHB patients (p 0.05). HBV DNA level was highest in CHB, lowest in LC groups (p 0.05). 18/328 (5.48 percent) was carried mutant p53 gene. The proportion of this mutation was 3 percent in HC; 0 percent in ASM); 1.8 percent in CHB; 6.7 percent in LC and 12.7 percent in HCC (p 0.05). This mutation is associated with the progression of HCC with OR (CI 95 percent)
