This article presents the provisional results of a study on the influence of continuous rearing Menochilus sexmaculatus generations on the reproduction capacity and the rate of egg-hatching. There are 7 generations of Menochilus sexmaculatus (from F1 to F7) reared continuously in the laboratory with the only source of food being Aphis craccivora. The average number of eggs laid by each female decreased from 79.53 eggs/day (F1) to 11.39 eggs/day (F7). The rate of egg-hatching also decreased from 77.36 percent (F1) to zero (F7). The capacity of egg. hatching rates of the females collected in the field decreased from P1 to P7 significantly if the average temperature decreased from 30°C to 20.6°C. The egg-hatching rates of the females collected in the field did not change considerably, they fluctuated between 82.69 and 93.99 percent. The continuous rearing of consecutive generations of Menochilus sexmactilatus in the laboratory caused decreased reproduction capacity and egg-hatching rate. Reasons were sibrnating and the source of food only: Aphis craccivora probaly is lacking the necessary nubiments for growth and development of Menochilus sexmaculatus.
