Despire many progress in bum therapy, saving severe bum patient is still challenges due to complicated complications as well as high cost. Huanglianjiedu is an old traditional medications which has been applied to treat diseases including bums. In this study, the authors evaluated the effect of supportive treatment of VB09 which prepared from Huanglianjiedu on severe bums patients. Results showed that VB09 preparations had antioxidant effects through the mechanism that increases the activity of the SOD enzyme, reduces formation of MDA, acid uric. The product also has protective effect on liver cells as well as stimulation of wound healing.
