Environmental Sensitive Area to desertification approach (ESA) describes not only desertification status of each area, but also allows detection of factors can be limited and renovated desertification by an geographical integrated approach and multi-criteria analyzed perspective from the environmental quality indicators: climate quality index (CQI); soil quality index (SQI); vegetation quality index (VQI); and management quality index (MQI). Binh Thuan has been affected by desertification processes, up to 14.4 percent of the coastal areas are in the critical sensitive level and 82.4 percent of the area are in the fragile sensitive level and the few remaining the potential sesitive level. The main factors to reduce desertification and recovery land degradation hereby strong human capacity on establish irrigration; and suitable strategies on water resource and forest management.
