Strobilanthes helicta T. Anders., loài thực vật ghi nhận mới cho hệ thực vật Việt Nam thuộc họ Ô rô (Acanthaceae) đã được nghiên cứu và mô tả. Trước đây, loài này chỉ được ghi nhận phân bố ở Ấn Độ, Bhutan, Mianma, Nepal, Trung Quốc. Trong bài báo này, nhóm tác giả mô tả chi tiết tài liệu gốc và các tài liệu có liên quan, mẫu chuẩn, đặc điểm hình thái, phân bố và sinh thái, ảnh minh họa, bảng so sánh các đặc điểm với loài gần nhất (Strobilanthes pateriformis Lindau, Strobilanthes rostrata Y. F. Deng & J. R. I. Wood). Loài Strobilanthes helicta có đặc điểm hình thái giống với loài Strobilanthes pateriformis, Strobilanthes rostrata nhưng khác nhau bởi đặc điểm về cấu trúc cụm hoa, hoa, bầu và vòi nhụy. Mẫu tiêu bản được thu tại Khu Bảo tồn thiên nhiên Bát Xát, huyện Bát Xát, tỉnh Lào Cai và được lưu giữ tại Phòng tiêu bản thực vật, Viện Sinh thái và Tài nguyên sinh vật.

Strobilanthes helicta T. Anders., a new record for the flora of Vietnam belonging to Acanthaceae, was studied and described. Before, this species only distributed in India, Bhutan, Mianma, Nepal, China. In this paper, the authors describe fully about original reference and relevant references, type, morphological characteristics, distribution, ecology, line drawing and picture, the table compares the characteristics with the closing species (Strobilanthes pateriformis Lindau, Strobilanthes rostrata Y. F. Deng & J. R. I. Wood). Strobilanthes helicta is similar to Strobilanthes pateriformis and Strobilanthes rostrata but difference by the type of inflorescence, flowers, ovary and style. The vouchers were collected in Bat Xat Nature Reserve, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province, preserved in the Herbarium of the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources, Hanoi, Vietnam.
