In 2012, University of Medicine and Pharmacy - TNU published learning outcomes for all majors. Including standard of informatics for most of the majors: "Before leaving the university, students have to use fluently informatics in research and professional activities". Basing on the survey of more than 200 medical students graduating in 2014, in this paper, the authors give the real situation about ability using information technology of students of University of Medicine and Pharmacy - TNU before graduation. Also the authors find out the causes of the actual situation and propose some solutions for improving the quality of informatics training at university in order to meet the needs of society.
