Cá lưỡi trâu vảy to, Cynoglossus arel, Giai đoạn thành thục, Sức sinh sản

Nghiên cứu về đặc điểm sinh học sinh sản của cá lưỡi trâu vảy to (Cynoglossus arel) được thực hiện trong vòng một năm từ tháng 09 năm 2017 đến tháng 08 năm 2018. Mẫu cá được thu mỗi tháng một lần ở vùng biển Kiên Giang, có tổng cộng 780 mẫu cá được thu trong thời gian nghiên cứu. Các mẫu cá được rửa bằng nước sạch, sau đó được làm lạnh và chuyển đến phòng thí nghiệm tại Khoa Thủy sản, Trường Đại học Cần Thơ để bảo quản trong tủ đông (-20oC) và tiến hành phân tích. Nghiên cứu tập trung vào đặc điểm sinh học sinh sản như tỷ lệ giới tính, giai đoạn phát triển buồng trứng, chỉ số tuyến sinh dục, mùa sinh sản, sức sinh sản. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy cá lưỡi trâu vảy to có mùa vụ sinh sản chính tập trung chủ yếu vào tháng 04 và tháng 10. Sức sinh sản tuyệt đối trung bình 11.938±1.523 trứng/cá thể cái, sức sinh sản tương đối trung bình khoảng 112±15 trứng/g cá cái với khối lượng thân 88,03-154,23 g/con.
