Unlike other organizations, the school has a mission to educate people. Therefore, the leader of the school just needs to care about achieving the goals, but at the same time, it is very necessary to care, preserve relationships and develop people. The current context of educational innovation in Vietnam needs a lot of change from the school, first of all managers and leaders. In this context, the soft skills of school leaders are a factor that both helps ensure the achievement of goals, both helps develop people and nurtures relationships in the school. The paper is based on the study of different perspectives on soft skills to build up a system of soft skills necessary for the school leaders and suggests how to build up these skills.
