The aim of this study to find out optimal time and temperature to the efficient of dyeing process and elasticity properlies of Nylon/Spandex knitted fabric after dyeing. The efficient of dyeing process was evaluated by dye adsorption capacity of fabric (in this study it was determined through UV absorption spectro of solution after dyeing), the color strength (K/S) and the color fastness to washing of fabric after dyeing. This efficient was considered in relation with the elasticity and the shrinkage of the fabric after dyeing. The optimal experimental conditions and their effects have been ascerlained by response surface methodology using the Central composite model. The range of process parameters were taken in three different levels at equal intervals and coded as (-1, 0, +1) namely time (30,45 and 60 minutes) and temperature (88, 94 and 100°C). The optimal value was found to be 50 minutes and 95°C.
