The new two-line hybrid rice TH3-5 (combination T1S-96/R5) was developed by the Rice Research Institute of Hanoi University of Agriculture. TH3-5 has short growth duration, adaptability and suitability in late spring and early summer season in Red river delta, the yield ranged from 6.5-8.0 tons/ha, has good resistance to lodging and moderate resistance to blast, bacterial leaf blight and brown plant hopper. Results of influence of transplanting density and fertilizer quatity for yield show that: in spring season, TH3-5 would be best to tranplant 40 hills/m2 and manure 140 kg N + 70 kg P2O5 + 105 kg K2O per hecta; in summer season, TH3-5 would be best to transplant 40 hills/m2 and manure 120 kg N + 60 kg P2O5 + 90 kg K2O per hecta. Results of desmostration whowed that, TH3-5 has yield ranged from 7.4-7.8 tons/ha in spring season and 6.5-6.7 tons/ha in summer season.
