Implementing residential projects in flood areas is important not only to people's demands, but also to cope with losing land areas due to the rising sea level. These projects have attracted much attention and large investments. However, the estimation of implementation cost for these projects in early stages has encountered difficult challenges due to lack of detailed designs. This research develops a regression model for estimating the implementation cost for residential projects in flood areas using some basic project-related characteristics. These results of this research can provide practitioners with an additional tool for practicing cost estimation for their projects.
