Weathering steel is high strength low alloy steels, that under normal atmospheric conditions give an enhanced resistance to rusting compared with that of ordinary carbon manganese steels. Self-protecting, durable and attractive, weathering steels is ideal for a whole range of outdoor structures in exposed locations. This paper mentions to the properties of weathering steel and research plan for application and use of weathering steels under Vietnam conditions.
