Polder and coastal projects have attracted much attention in recent years. This paper aims to identify critical success factors (CSFs) for polder and coastal projects in Kiengiang province in the early stage. A survey questionnaire including 41 CSFs is employed to collect data from practitioners. Based on 145 valid responses from clients and governmentrelated management organizations, all. CSFs are computed for their mean scores and ranked based on the resulted scores so as to assess their importance to project success. Some CSFs which could be very important for project execution are identified. The findings from this paper could provide a useful piece of information to better manage polder and coastal projects in Kiengiang province as well as in the whole country.
