Objective: To investigate the characteristics of the stress response in patients with Acute leukemia. Methods: cross-sectional descriptive study combined qualitative research and quantitative, using DASS21 scale among 72 patients. Results: 41.7 percent of patients with stress in different degrees (mild, moderate, severe and very severe); stress response in patients is very complex, along with other manifestations of anxiety (73.3 percent) and depression (66.7 percent). 66.7 percent of patients includes stress, anxiety and depression; in particular, some patients have attempted suicide to free themself.
