Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu này nhằm kiểm định tác động của trí tuệ cảm xúc, ý định nghỉ việc và sự hài lòng với công việc đến sự cam kết và lòng trung thành của nhân viên ngành bán lẻ tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Sử dụng mô hình cấu trúc để kiểm định các giả thuyết nghiên cứu bằng việc phân tích dữ liệu sơ cấp thu về từ khảo sát 286 nhân viên làm việc trong lĩnh vực bán lẻ tại TP.HCM. Kết quả nghiên cứu khẳng định trí tuệ cảm xúc có quan hệ chặt chẽ đến tâm lý và hành vi của nhân viên trong doanh nghiệp ngành bán lẻ. Về mặt thực tiễn, doanh nghiệp nên tăng cường quản lý công tác tuyển dụng và sử dụng hợp lý để nuôi dưỡng trí tuệ cảm xúc của người lao động. Ngoài ra, cần chú trọng xây dựng môi trường làm việc thân thiện, sẻ chia qua đó nhân viên tự nguyện gắn kết và trung thành với nơi họ đang làm việc.
